Last weekend Duisburg hosted an international meeting in preparation of the World Games 2005. It was attended by 70 representatives of the participating Sports Federations, sponsors, members of the International World Games Association (IWGA) and the Duisburg Organizing Committee.
In view of the World Games scheduled to take place between July 14 to 24, 2005 in Duisburg and its partner cities Mülheim, Oberhausen and Bottrop, the participants were briefed on the present state of the preparations.
Ron Froehlich, President of the International World Games Association, was pleased with the progress made. Together with the World Games Chief Executive Officer Gerd Bildau he visited the Wedau Stadium to get informed on-site about the advancing construction works: “I am looking forward to the Games in Duisburg. Duisburg has done very well.“
