A tough kind of sport, played at speed

Rugby is a proud team sport, its roots reaching back well over 150 years to a famous boy's school in central England. It is a truly global game played by over three million people throughout the world.
The object of the seven a side game is that two teams of seven players each, according to the Laws and a sporting spirit, should by carrying, passing, kicking and grounding the ball, score as many points as possible.
Of the seven players on the field, three are forwards and four are backs; there are three replacement players per team.
In a sevens match, the two halves are each seven minutes long. This extends to ten minutes each half for the final. A match is controlled by a single referee aided by three touch judges.
